About Rob Conrad

Rob Conrad joined Shannon in Birmingham radio just before the winter storm of 1993.
They have been doing the morning show together ever since.
It all began when Rob was invited to come to Birmingham and meet Shannon to see if there was "Chemistry" for a morning show team, it clicked and now they are in their 15th year together on the air.

Rob is married to a local fitness instructor the former Fran Sherrill. You can check out her site at www.yogafran.com. Rob teases that she knows everyone in town, since she grew up in Birmingham. Fran has two sons Rob and Richard and Rob has three daughters Tina, Shawna and Robbie. Fran lost her oldest son, Rob in a tragic mountain climbing accident in August.

Rob's hometown is Spokane Washington where he graduated from Eastern Washington State University and started his radio career which took him to Seattle, San Francisco, Los Angeles, then to Chicago where Robbie finished High School and then the big move to the sunny south occurred as the winter storm of 93 raged.

Rob considers himself a member of the lunatic fringe of the automotive world (that means he likes fast cars) He's a big fan of the Barber motor speedway, is also an animal lover with dogs cats and a tortoise at home, he loves to ride his bicycle, swim, go to movies and have fun dates with Fran and he feels his life is much richer since he met a new circle of friends at Church of the Highlands.
